Sneeboer: 149% increase in turnover with SEO and Google Ads

For garden tool specialist Sneeboer, we combined technical SEO, new content and profitable Google Ads. During the spring season, visits doubled and turnover rose by 149 per cent, with a return on ad spend (ROAS) of 4.83.

The challenge

Sneeboer sells hand-forged gardening tools to gardening enthusiasts at home and abroad via an international WooCommerce online shop (in Dutch, German, British and American English, and French). Spring is peak season: as soon as the gardening season begins, people start looking for tools, so the website needs to be easily discoverable.

There were two challenges. Conversion tracking had not been set up entirely correctly, meaning that previous results were unreliable and it was difficult to optimise for return on investment. Furthermore, the Google Ads campaigns were not yet generating a healthy return on investment, whilst organic visibility, although broad, was lagging behind, particularly for commercial keywords.

The solution

We have set up our conversion tracking again in a reliable manner, so that every purchase and enquiry is accurately tracked and we can truly focus on turnover and return on investment.

In terms of SEO, we worked on technical improvements, new and targeted content, and clearing out old, redundant material such as harmful backlinks. The Google Ads campaigns have been restructured to deliver a healthy, profitable return, tailored to the spring season and international markets.

The online shop is fully multilingual. Dutch is the base language: as soon as an article is published or saved in WordPress, the system automatically translates it into English, German and French using DeepL, an AI translation service renowned for its remarkably natural, high-quality translations. The SEO meta texts are automatically generated using Claude AI, ensuring that each language version also performs well in Google.

The result is measurable, scalable growth that hits the mark precisely when gardeners are actively searching.
