Save valuable time by automating common tasks with Zapier. The possibilities are endless, and as well as saving you time, it also improves the quality of your business processes.

Zapier as the hub of the web

In a world of APIs, automation is made easy. If, for example, you sell online courses via WooCommerce, you need to create a learner profile in an e-learning tool such as Pluvo once a payment has been successfully processed. Manually creating an account and linking it to the correct course involves repeating the same steps every time. With Zapier, you can automate this. You create a ‘Zap’, connect WooCommerce and Pluvo, decide which task to automate, and set up the connection.

3,000+ links

Zapier offers integrations with over 3,000 services, but it’s certainly worth exploring the possibilities. Tools for forms, accounting software, email marketing, spreadsheets, databases, CMSs, events, payments – and the list goes on. Without having to write a single line of code yourself, you can create sophisticated integrations. You’ll save time, which you can then use for other tasks.

Multi-step workflow

You can even expand the workflow to include multiple steps. For example, if an order is placed in the online shop, you can send an email to a colleague and forward the order to your accounting software. You can also use a registration form to add interested parties to a mailing list. The prospective customer receives an email with the white paper, and your sales colleague receives an email or Slack message to follow up on the lead. In the latter case, you could even create the lead in a CRM tool such as HubSpot.

Google Script for advanced tasks

Of course, Zapier does have its limitations. You can do a lot with it, but not everything. For those more complex tasks, we at SEO Ninja use Google Script. All you need is a knowledge of JavaScript and, of course, the Google Script documentation. You can also use Zapier and Google Script perfectly well alongside each other.

Do you notice any recurring tasks in your work schedule? There’s a good chance they can be automated. Whether it’s Zapier, Google Script or a combination of the two, automation saves you time. If you’d like to explore the possibilities, let us help you work through the options.
