From recent research It appears that 64.2% of all websites worldwide are built using WordPress. Other content management systems lag far behind. The fact that WordPress is so popular does not mean it is the very best system. Developers are deeply divided on this issue. Most companies want a CMS they are familiar with and that meets their requirements and needs. WordPress does just that and, in addition to the many plugins available, it also offers scope for customisation.

WordPress SEO

Over the past few years, SEO Ninja has specialised in WordPress SEO. With the right themes and plugins, excellent SEO results are on the horizon. SEO Ninja also develops, where necessary, Bespoke WordPress themes and plugins to comply with specific SEO guidelines. This also includes, for example, generating meta tags for thousands of products, adding structured data for various templates, optimising images in terms of dimensions as well as ALT tags, etc.

Data synchronisation

As WordPress has a REST API, we have developed our own analytics tools, which allow us to see whether focus keywords have been set for each landing page, when articles were last updated, and more.

For WooCommerce online shops (WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin for e-commerce functionality), we can periodically retrieve product information and orders and make them available in Google Sheets, track stock levels in Google Merchant Centre, synchronise product listings with the Facebook Catalogue, and more.

The dangers of WordPress

There are many themes and plugins available, but this also carries a risk. When running different SEO audits We often see a huge number of plugins. As a business, you are dependent on the developer for each plugin. If they decide to stop developing it, a plugin may no longer work properly after an update. Furthermore, this has a negative impact on loading times, and you often have no way of knowing what personal data is being sent to malicious web servers. Experience shows which plugin developers are cut from the right cloth. SEO Ninja uses a limited number of (paid) plugins to minimise the risks as much as possible. Being too frugal can end up costing a lot of money.

SEO for other CMSs

We’ve been in business for over 18 years and, over time, we’ve gained a great deal of experience with other CMSs as well. Whether you have a website built on Wix, an Angular application or any other technology, we know exactly how to handle it. Ultimately, it’s all about good HTML output, loading times and high-quality, people-focused content. The beauty of WordPress is that SEO Ninja can build in technical solutions ourselves, but we’re just as happy to work alongside developers to focus specifically on SEO.
